Well, i don't know if i will keep up the blog, but for now i will :-)

We have moved again... Cirra Jarrico decided she wanted to sell Nordica Village and we decided that we needed a new home. Dutchy found the most amazing place in the Rainforest. We are actually living in the root of a gigantic tree. Dutchy decorated it with Aztec ruins. It's like a dream. You just have to see it. I got myself a Neko skin, tail and ears, and so did Dutchy so it fits us perfectly.

I started my business... Crazy Zwede designs. I'm selling the picture frames and the AFK box. i have two stores, one on Kiva island and one in the sim next to the rainforest. Can't say business is booming tho. I have sold one (1) picture frame. That's all. Most likely i will close the stores this weekend. Or next. Dunno yet.

My virtual RL skybox was mentioned in another blog a few days back - Second life fantasies. A friend of mine, Posh showed Loui Market teh skybox and he was impressed. It's always nice to hear.

Well, that's it for now. Until next time. Have fun

New home and maybe business?

Another exploit discovered. So I'm locked out of SL again. Well, at least I can update this blog then..

We moved again. Not since last post - no it's the same house. But we moved some 50m from the old log cabin to a bigger house. From the beginning I wasn't entirely sure about if I wanted to move, since i loved the cabin. But now I can't believe how small that cabin was.

The house is very nice, but what makes it really wonderful is the way my girlfriend Dutchy decorated it. She even started a business decorating peoples houses, and it has become a big job for her. She is getting a very good reputation as an interior designer. If you want to see what she can do, just drop us an IM and come for a visit.

So, what am I doing? Well, I'm enjoying beeing with Dutchy most of the time I'm in SL. I have got some time to do some things though. I've created and scripted an AFK outhouse for Hajduk, which seems to be a big success. He just say "afk" and sit down in the outhouse that automatically appears. When he stands up, the outhouse is gone. So far the outhouse itself is a freebie made by someone else, but I'm working on creating my own outhouse so I can be able to sell it. Time is my enemy here though.

I also created a picture frame which you can load with pictures (textures or snapshots) and it will automatically cycle through them. You set the time each pic will show in the Config notecard. When the pictures change, they will blend into each other until the next pic is showing. It gives a nice effect to it. At the moment I have three different styles of the frame, but I'm planning to create many more.

These are things I want to be able to sell eventually. I am not at all planning to gain any money from SL, but it would be nice if I didn't need to chip in too much RL money every month just to pay the rent.

If you come for a visit, you have to see my virtual RL in SL... It's a skybox I made for Dutchy where you can view a complete 360 degree panorama from RL. I have got some really good responses for that box. So far it features some of my own panoramas from my hometown. I will eventually script this, to be able to change panoramas with a touch of a button. Also I will add some ambient sounds to it.

If you want to see more, check out my RL panorama site www.8u.se.

Griefer attack?

Today scripts are disabled throughout the grid... Bay is locked into his house and Anna is locked out. The doors are scripted... Figures.

It looks like this wasn't caused by griefers at all. I happened to be in the shelter when one Mal entered there. He had been to war in a war sim, and they planted some nukes there. The nukes were scripted in such a way that they self-replicated, and created havoc all over the enemies territory. Well, not only there...

The Lindens were not happy with him - of course. But it was just part of the war game they were playing, so I can't really see that as beeing a griefer attack. He was very sad, and full of regrets himself. When a Linden entered the shelter, he quickly tp'd out of there.

Of course I was pissed off with the whole thing since I wanted to do some scripting, but I can't really blame anyone for this. Just one of these things that happens, i guess.

And for those of you who know how my last week's been:

Singing Amen, I'm alive
Singing Amen, I'm alive

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We'd see the day when nobody died

(Nickelback - If everyone cared)

Friends missing

I miss a dear friend. Raphella who has been Annas best friend, hasn't logged in since September 7th. That, together with another friends sudden illness makes me think about how different SL is from RL in this sense.

On one hand, I like the fact that I'm detached from RL when I'm in SL. But on the other hand, I'm thinking of all my friends who will be wondering what is happening if I'm suddenly gone from SL for one reason or the other. Anything can happen at any moment in life.

Since I have met my one and only love in SL - Dutchy, this has become more apparent to me, and something I have to find a solution to. It is supposed to be easy, and might even be so, but since my RL family doesn't share my experiences in SL it's still something to think about for a while.

That brings me to my love - Dutchy. I never in my wildest dreams thought SL could be like this... She makes my second life more than complete. And since my RL family accepts her, I just couldn't be happier. Funny thing is, I was afraid that getting emotionally involved in SL would affect my RL relationship in a bad way. It isn't so. My love for Dutchy makes me appreciate and love my RL family even more than before. So whoever said that you can’t eat your cake and have it too, was dead wrong.

Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

Raphella, if by any chance you are reading this, please contact me at anna.gylling@sess.nu

Finally a home

Now I'm no longer one of those homeless guys running around looking for shelter all the time. I finally found the place of my dreams in the winter wonderland of Nordica. And to keep up with my swedish stereotype, except for the blond, blueeyed part, I rented a log cabin with a fireplace and a big porch. The only thing missing is the swedish sauna... I love it here. It's very beautiful and quiet. You should come for a visit. I'll be happy to show you around.

It's funny. It happens now that I log in, sit down in the hammock on the porch - and don't do anything. Just relaxing, pondering, looking at the scenery... Sometimes I even leave the computer, and that feeling still lingers with me. The venue was Phoenix Enchanted, at the home of Tangletwigs and Junette.

The place was completely transformed to a beautiful green garden, with a stage in renaissance style.

The ceremony was officiated by Tangletwigs Fairymeadow, and was beautifully orchestrated. So what's a girl gonna do?

Fortunately Tangletwigs Fairymeadow and Junette Jamberoo hosted a Vampire theme party timed especially for us europeans. So I followed my new instincts, put on my best Lilith outfit and went there...

After walking among the tombs in the graveyard, I finally found all my my fellow vampires dancing on the top floor of the new castle, put there just for this evenings party. Among all vampire wannabies there, I even found a real vampire - Mistylee, who I guess scouted the crowd for new victims...

Although I was almost two hours late, I didn't notice... The party was a blast. When I came, Tangle started a competition about the best vampire bite of the evening. I entered, and I was the first one to try. Tangle, at that moment posing as a cute girl, was the victim, and he wanted me to do some role play. However, I just followed my new insticts to the letter, lured him into my arms, and bit hard...

Needless to say - I won the contest...

As always, Tangle's and June's party just rocks. And they are getting increasingly more popular. Search for the Pegasus Ballroom, come to the parties and have a blast.

Angels, vampires and ghosts.

Raphella Paterson took Anna for some exploring around SL the other day. Since we both were using the Dutchy type of halo, I put on my best pair of wings, and off we went like angels to...
...Transylvania. (transport...)

It was quite an experience. Dark castles, vampires and tombs. Since Anna is the fallen angel, I felt quite at home. At the huge five storey mall I could get fangs, tombs, eyes and different outfits and poses. Even Raphella seemed to like some of the things there, but since she's the white angel, she came to her senses.

After the mall we went to the museum, and learned about the famous vampires in history. From the first wife of Adam - Lilith, to the modern day sanguinarians and Energy vampires.

Transylvania is most definitely worth a visit. I will definitely come back to see more. (transport...)

After Transylvania we went to see the Haunted house of Sinatra Cartier and took the Spook house ride. The ride cost $1, and was fun. Not scary, but well designed and scripted. (transport...)

After making a brief stop at the Haunted Mansion at Wolfhaven Wonderland (transport...) we were off to see some beautiful scenery.

Seacliff (transport...) is a beautiful island with funny trees, and a lot to see. I recommend looking up in the sky to visit the Sky Castle. Also, you have to find the transport to Fallingwater flowershop. (transport...). They have the most spectacular flowers.

Last, but not least, we went to the Lost Gardens of Apollo (transport...). It's a very beautiful and romatic island. This is the place you should take that special friend to, to show your love. There are so many things to say about this island, but I'll leave it to you to find you way around. Tip: Look for the pose balls...

Thank you Raphella for showing me around. It was a lot of fun, and I look forward to next time.

Junette and Tangletwigs Formal

Woohoo, I put on my best tux (well... freebie!), and off I went to Junettes and Tangles place for my first ever formal ball with my beautiful date - Matilde Morellet. At times there were not enough men there though.

Junette and Tangle have a wonderful place - A beatiful house with a bar in the boat, and a gazebo just by the sea. And it seems they have done a lot of work to make this party a success. Plenty of different dances, and places to sit and talk.

And the first balls I found, coming with my date, was meant for kissing at the doorstep. Maybe it's the fact that I got up at 4am this morning, or things are really confusing me, but my different lives messes with me.

At home I'm usually darling or dad, and my relaxed, not very social self. At work I'm Blomman, the one that solves all the problems, a quite social guy - always wanting to help. And in SL, I love to socialize and meet people, and help out if I can. And there I'm a different view of myself again.

What I noticed after nearly two weeks is that SL spills over to my real life. I'm having more fun. I am more social and fun to be with.

Hopefully this is all good, but we'll see. OK, it's 8pm SLT.
Let's dance...

Second life

So, I finally got hooked. I signed up for an account with Secondlife after an article in Computer Sweden. Just to see what it was all about.

And what happened. Well, for the first hour, I thought nothing of it. Wasn't worth the time.

Then I met the greatest people at The Shelter. PG dancing, that is - compared to Studio 54. I went there, *blushed* and went straight back home to the shelter.

The only problem I have for the moment is that my partner in real life doesn't like it when I'm off to Secondlife to meet friends in the evenings. I understand her, and try to minimize it.

I don't know if I'm getting a bad rep at the shelter. I've been called a player at times, and the other evening somebody called me a pimp! Hehe. For some reason, I didn't mind...
